Description

Pacific Hardware's circa 1912 "Bastile" pattern inspired our creation of this striking Craftsman-style GFI cover plate. We've replicated the unique window-pane design, with its incised border and characteristic hammered surface, in solid, cast brass. An oil-rubbed bronze finish with copper highlights completes the authentic look.

Please note that these plates are entirely flat on the reverse (some plate styles have a slight recess). To ensure that your Craftsman cover plates sit flush against the wall surface, all switches and outlets must be properly inset within the wall.

Dimensions: 6 3/4" H x 2 3/4" W. Projection: 1/8".

Please note this cover plate has a flat backside.

Hardware Tip

For an authentic period look in your restoration or vintage-style new construction, install black or brown switches and outlets in combination with our reproduction cover plates.

This is a great looking Arts & Craft Outlet & Switch Plate covers, BUT you have to plan ahead to get them installed correct. You have to counter sink your outlets and switches. These plates DO NOT have offset on the back side to cover the normal installation of switches & outlets. Once you have this knowledge and your Electrician has this knowledge they are a good value.....

Arts & Crafts Upgrade 3

As an Architect, I have been upgrading the style of my 1948 vintage home to be of the Arts and Crafts style. The A&C Outlet Cover plates have an immediate and dramatic effect. I intend to purchase more in the future as I remodel other areas of my home.

Beautiful plates bad design.

Comments:

Although these are very attrative plates installation is rather tricky. Most electrical plates have a bow in them to compensate for the device screw. These plates are completly flat therefore you must recess the electrical box in the wall to compensate for the device screw.
