Description

Pacific Hardware's circa 1912 Bastile pattern inspired our creation of this striking Craftsman-style arts and crafts triple toggle switch plate in oil-rubbed bronze. We've replicated the unique window-pane design, with its incised border and characteristic hammered surface, in solid, cast brass. An oil-rubbed bronze finish with copper highlights completes the authentic look. 6 3/4-inch x 6 3/8-inch.

Dimensions: 6 3/4" H x 6 3/8" W. Projection: 1/8".

Please note this cover plate has a flat backside.

For an authentic period look in your restoration or vintage-style new construction, install black or brown switches and outlets in combination with our reproduction cover plates.

Arts & Crafts in the midwest

The appearance is great and a good compromise of old style & modern function. I doubt Pacific Hardware plates reached the Midwest at the time my place was built around 1915 and certainly only in places much fancier than my blue-collar bungalow. Unlike plastic or ceramic switch plates, the solid metal will not crack when installed on the uneven surfaces of a 100 yr old wall. Real metal finished screws are much better than the usual painted ones. The plate may stick out from the wall if the electrical box is not slightly recessed from the wall surface. Not all of mine were, but this hardly shows.

Beautiful cover - sticks out from wall!

I love the look of this cover. Unfortunately it is designed so that it sticks out maybe 1/8 inch from the wall. Because we have lovely lumpy bumpy old plaster that means it looks a bit uneven from one side to the other and because it sticks out you really notice it. We quickly got used to that quirk and absolutely love the cover!

Heavy duty plate cover

The color is darker than it appears in the photo. I really wanted the lighter bronze color. Also, it sits away from the wall because it is flat unlike the plastic covers that have an indent on the back. Excellent quality.

Nice craftsmanship

Bought this three toggle switchplate and it came promptly. It's hard to find reproduction parts that not only look the part in a photo but actually feel like the real thing. This switchplate is heavy, details are clean, definitely will order from you again as we restore our 1934 storybook style home.
