Large Bungalow Mail Slot With Plain Front Plate

Mail slot looks great and matches the style of my 100 year old house. The first slot was defective and the customer service department replaced it immediately. Solidly built and will last a long time. Nice looking cover for the back side of the door too. I had the handyman cut the slot in the door.

Very well made piece and helps add a nice finish to the front of the house. I appreciate that it is more unique and stylish than most of the options you could find in a regular hardware store. I'm sure the mailman will appreciate it too

We did need help to enlarge the hole in the wooden door. I am happy with the product overall. It looks nice and like it could have been part of the house all along. I am worried that the spring for the interior flap might wear out.

Poor quality, the bolt attachment points show through to the front face. This should have never passed a basic quality check.

Cutting hole in a door takes experience. Interior flap prevents air flow and draft. Good quality and works well.

I had trouble finding the size and finish of this mail slot. This addition completes the look of our late 19th century row house.

After searching the internet a very long time I came across Antique Hardware and I am extremely pleased with my purchase. The Bronze Bungalow Mail Slot is a rich, quality item and shows beautifully within my craftsman front door. The functionality of the large slot allows for regular mail and magazines, periodicals and packages. From within the house my mail is easily accessible from the floor or from a basket at the floor of the door. This mailslot offers great security.

Needed better instructions. Two sets of screws sent, but one too long, the others too short. My door was an average depth! LOVE how it looks!!

Love the mail slot. Ordered it for my contractor to install in a new front door, and at first he was leery of a ""non-major brand"" lockset, but we were all impressed with the quality, finish and ease of installation.

Very happy with the final look, although it took some DIY effort to install. Was installing it on an existing standard package/magazine sized mailslot and it fits perfectly. However, there are two joints that stick out on the back, so we had to drill two holes in the door for them, so that the mailslot would fit flush. Took a little adjusting to get it flush and in the right spot, but the finished look is better than expected! 4 stars instead of 5 because it scratches easier than I'd think it should - it came pristine but by the time we mounted it, it had a few scratch marks on the back flap somehow.
