These are somewhat thicker than the hinges that I was replacing so I had to remove some wood with a jig and router. They are a great match for the arts and crafts door knobs that I bought on House of Antique Hardware. The only issue that I have is that they don't squeak like all of the other hinges in my house. Haha. Love them! Did one test door and can't wait to finish replacing the hardware on the remaining doors.

I purchased these hinges to install on a period reproduction door that I am making for our Craftsman style home. The hinges are nice, but there is a problem with the hinge drillings. The screws provided are standard #10 brass slotted flat head screws. The screw shanks bottom out in the hinge holes before the screw head seats into the countersunk portion of the hinge. My solution - I drilled out the hinge holes and went up a size to a #12 screw. I suggest you do the same. While your at it, pick up some House of Antique Hardware Brass & Bronze Aging Solution for the brass screws you buy. The patina will match the hinges perfectly.
