""Simply the Best Replacement""
Comments:
When we were first asked by our customer to replace the existing antique push-button light switch, we thought 'No Way'! Where can we find such replacement parts? It was with the help of the 'House of Antique Hardware' that we were able to safely replace the existing switch with one of even better quality than the orginal. The new switch has a better internal contact rating as well as provisions for connection to a ground wire, if present. Our customer is totally pleased with the replacement and has contracted us to perform additional work in her home. Thanks for helping us to complete this job in a safe manner as well as providing a source for additional antique materials when the time comes.
A good product
Comments:
I have installed about 10 of these so far and am very happy with the product. Work and sound like the old ones they replaced.
a solid piece
Comments:
This a more basic version of the Classic Accent push button switch - doesn't feel as nice in action as the CA, kinds noisy when turning the switch to the off position. I think the CA is a better feeling switch, though maybe the standard with will last longer than the CA (I've broken a couple of them, though they are high traffic areas, with 15+ years behind them)
Accurate Look
Comments:
The look is authentic, however the sound when the buttons are pressed is not. Makes a ""boing"" sound rather than a click.
Adds wonderful character

I purchased these switches for my condo built in 1895. They look beautiful! My only complaint is the fit inside my electrical boxes. There isn't much space and I've found that the switch sometimes sticks out further than I would like (sometimes by a quarter of an inch!)and one is at an angle due to all the wires in there that can't be removed. Take a look at the depth of your box before ordering if having it flush is important. I think my unit suffers from non-standard boxes, but I'm sure I can't be the only one! All in all, I'm very happy with my purchase and plan to continue ordering from House of Antique Hardware.

As expected but pricey

Well built and assembled product. Easy to work with. A bit pricey, but I could not find it elsewhere for less.
