Standard Push Button Light Switch with Mother-of-Pearl Inlay

I was surprised and pleased to find this rreplacement with one try on Google!

I bought this switch for a period art renovation I'm doing in a 1928 home. It functions fine. It's got a smooth acting mechanism to it, which is annoying because an authentic switch snaps really hard back and forth, but otherwise is nice.

This switch ""ting's"" when you turn it on and off. Do not buy this! After we read another review and someone had said to purchase the 3 way switch (much more sturdy when turning on/off), we did so and what a difference! Don't waste your money on the single switch...remember - you get what you pay for.

These switches are not the same quality switches that I had taken out during the removal of my knob and tube wiring. One switch was defective upon arrival and houseofantique hardware shipped me a new one so no complaints about their service but the switches are not smooth like the 100 year old switches. If they only had a ground and intact ceramic cases.........

Well built and assembled product. Easy to work with. A bit pricey, but I could not find it elsewhere for less.

I had an electrician change out my togle switches. I can't believe we've owned this house for 13 years and just got around to this. I really like the ones with the pearl upper button, because it adds ambiance and for a novice it's more obvious which button is the ""on"" button. Just do it!

The appearance is nice, but the switch mechanics are awful in these. It not only clicks, but it gives off a vibration that resonates through the pushbutton. It feels really cheap, like a Chinese made plastic toy. These are made by Prange Electric. For some reason, the 3-way switches do not have this problem. If you can afford it, use the 3-way switches for all your switches and just leave the Traveller screw unconnected. I hope they fix this as this would be an awesome product otherwise.

Worked well. No problems. However, on a similar three-way button switch which I also purchased, one of the holes for a faceplate screw was not properly threaded. I had to ream out the hole to insert a screw.

This reproduction perfectly matches the original switches in my 1920's home. Very nice!
