Looks the same but feels different

Comments:

We replaced an original switch in our 1910 home. It looks like an original but definitely feels different. It is much easier to push and feels more solid. So you know it's not original when you use it. That can be a pro or a con depending on your preference.

My Old House

Comments:

My old ones don't work and I was very happy to find them available on line, to replace. My house is only 104 years old, however, I wanted to keep things as original looking as possible.

I was pleased to discover your site. This allows me to restore to original our old house lights

Nice appearance, cheap mechanics

Comments:

The appearance is nice, but the switch mechanics are awful in these. It not only clicks, but it gives off a vibration that resonates through the pushbutton. It feels really cheap, like a Chinese made plastic toy. These are made by Prange Electric. For some reason, the 3-way switches do not have this problem. If you can afford it, use the 3-way switches for all your switches and just leave the Traveller screw unconnected. I hope they fix this as this would be an awesome product otherwise.

Nice selection of antique replacements, mine worked withou a
