Disappointed in the premium one-way button switch

Comments:

Overall pleased with Premium 3-way button switch; the switch plates (2 & 4 button); and the look of the mortise door knob set (haven't installed it yet). The premium 1-way switch had a disappointing cheap ""twangy"" sound when the button was depressed; very different from the 3-way switch. Not sure why that is the case...

Good product but check quality upon arrival.

Comments:

Of the ~dozen ""dual pearl"" switches I ordered, the pearling on three was either defective or missing. I still like the product, but check the quality of each switch prior to your contractor coming out to install them.

Restores vintage character to my new-old home

Comments:

I decided to replace the standard switches in my home with these pushbutton switch after recently seeing a segment on ""This Old House."" My recently purchased 1930s home has been stripped of many period details, and restoring its character has been my first priority. Swapping out the switch was easily done in less than 10 minutes, and I now enjoy hearing that signature ""click"" whenever I turn it on. I plan to buy more for the remaining rooms!

Premium upgrade worth the cost

Comments:

The upgrade to the premium push button switches is worth the investment. The mother of pearl inlay is noticeably better quality. Goes great with the forged brass switch plates. This is part of the restoration of our N.C. home built in 1791.

Would buy again, works great and easy to install

Comments:

Works awesome as a old style switch, has the click sound and a nice spring to it. Easy to install.

Perfect fireplace switch

Comments:

We installed this to replace a normal single pole switch attached to the thermopile control for our gas fireplace. It added a great unique design detail to the fireplace and it works perfectly. So happy that we found House of Antique Hardware.

Beautiful and easy to install. Will be replacing more.

Comments:

We had to replace some of our original switches and plan to eventually replace all of the modern switches with push buttons.

Perfect for house restoration

Comments:

The switch is exactly what I was looking for. The switch is solid and looks great in my home. I will be buying many more to replace all the switches in my house as I slowly restore my 1890 Victorian back to it's original form.

Absolutely would purchase this again!

Comments:

I love antique push button light switches. When my husband installed this one, I was hoping that it would have a harder push/click sound when I used it. I have played with actual antique push button switches and I thought for some reason that they had a little more resistance when pushing the button and it made a good click sound when pushing it. With mine, it's quieter and easier to push (love the ease of it), but kind of wished it was more clickey (if that makes sense) with the sound. Otherwise, I LOVE the look of it. I love the ease of wiring and the practically easy install and how upgraded and safer it is to have in the house. Can't wait to have more switches replaced!

Great reproduction push button switch!!

Comments:

I have been converting all of the switches in my 1920s house back to these, they are great reproductions and look and feel just like the originals.
