Beautiful
Comments:
Heavy and beautiful. You can help it age with a vinegar mix but I'll wait until I have all the plates and do them at the same time.
Terrific wall plate!
Comments:
This is simply a terrific wall plate. Perfect for the look I wanted. I've bought these in the past for a kitchen remodel and they hold up well!

Hard to find push button plate.
Comments:
I love the brass switch plates from this store. They are just so much more solid then the flimsy brass covers you find at big box. For restoration look and feel - I have purchased these several times. Slowly replacing all the cheap ones in the house that clearly weren't original or well made
Solid brass switch plate and will put them throughout
Comments:
Nice finish and will be putting them throughout my house.
NOT BRASS!!!
Comments:
It is RUSTING after 3 months! Brass CANNOT rust, therefore THESE ARE NOT BRASS!!!
Vintage Brass Wall Plates
Comments:
I was surprised by the high quality of these brass wall plates. Most others are simply lightweight stampings, but these are heavy forgings. Excellent!
Authentic Character
Comments:
It's so fun to restore a home to the original character that is consistent with the age of the house. This is what we've done with our home - built 1907. During previous remodels in the '50s and '70s it really suffered, but fixing these light plates and adding push button switches really makes it look authentic. These installed easily in place of the previous switch plates and match the original plates found in other parts of the house.
Nice, but not for me
Comments:
I bought a combination of plates of different materials and finishes from HoAH to see which I liked the best and which best fit my house. While the quality seemed fairly good, the finishes generally seemed a little off: too bright, too orange, too polished. It's very possible that over time the finish would wear and look more like the patinaed brass plates that I have in my imagination (from other old houses), but I wasn't willing to wait/find out so I opted for the antique-by-hand brass finish. I will also say that the squared edges weren't quite what I was looking for design-wise. It seems to me the classic push-button plates are rounded at the edges. I ended up with a pattern (egg and dart) because these seemed a little too plain considering their size.
