A Touch of Class !

Comments:

Mother of Pearl added a nice ""extra"" - it was hard to chose which room to put these ones in !! They look and work great !

Ah the pop!

Comments:

Just bought a 1915 home that had most of the original push button switches. These are beautiful and well made. Wish I had the $$$ to replace all the original.

Amazing Quality!

Good product

Best of the lot

Comments:

I purchased a few of these switches from different manufacturers/retailers to compare them and this was my favorite. I saw some comments that there was a loud springy sound and I found that with other manufacturer's products but not with HoAH's. There is obviously a prominent button sound since that's inherent to push buttons, but no springiness.

Best push button light switch

Comments:

I grew up in the Midwest in the 60s. I have fond memories of these pushbutton light switches in my grandmothers house. Now that I'm building my own house, I wanted to indulge nostalgia and get the same kind of switches. After hours reading reviews all over the Internet, I settled on this switch as the best available. I won't be able to actually install them for some months, but I'm looking forward to it.

classic light switches and cover plates

Comments:

I bought a push button light switch and bungalow style cover plate. Both are beautiful and operate great. Only one suggestion is with the cover plates. There is no recess in the cover plate. It is completely flat. Sometimes when putting the cover plate on, it is necessary to do some reworking of the switch box or wall to make the plate cover properly. If it had a recess on the underside of the plate, it would make the job of replacing the existing switch and plate imensely easier. I do love the look and authenticity of the items.

Cool Pushbutton Switch

Comments:

The switch works well and adds a lot of character, especially when combined with a vintage switchplate (I got the Floral Victorian one). The main negative, as pointed out in other reviews, is that the wiring screws are not threaded into the switch body but are held in by a nut within the switch. If you keep backing the screws out like me (and you will be tempted to do so since there's not much space to hook the wire underneath), you will remove the screw from the inner nut and will need to take apart the whole switch to re-attach the nut. The other negative is that the switching mechanism is not the same as that of the porcelain pushbutton switches of the past. The result is that the switch doesn't feel as sturdy as the originals and sounds less crisp. I don't think it's that big of a deal, as most people won't know what the older switches were like anyway. I do wonder if they would be able to make these out of bakelite/porcelain to better replicate the originals.

Don't wast your time and money!

Comments:

I purchased 10 of the premium switches to replace worn originals and modern replacements that had been installed in my 1900 built home. After receiving the package I noticed one of them did not have the ""mother of pearl"" button (Defective). Out of the 10 switches I classified them to have 6 distinct sound variations, nothing like the originals but more like the tinnie twang I have read them described elsewhere (Poor quality control). I quickly decided to rework my originals and returned these. After spending $18 to return them I was hit with a %20 restocking fee. So with more than a $50 loss for this mistake I will NEVER do business with this company again! Just a big rip off!!!!

Fantastic light switch

Comments:

Great light switch! Very well made and matches the original button switches we used to have. The only thing I had to do to accommodate the switch is add a spacer behind the bracket to make them properly fit with the switch plate
