The classic and versatile 4-inch ball tip door hinge has been a favorite since the late 19th century. Our authentic reproduction hinge has a loose pin with attached finial, slotted and Phillips wood screws, and heavy duty 1/8-inch thick leaves - just like the originals. Made of solid extruded brass for high strength and durability.

Almost Exactly What I Wanted

Replaced steel exterior hinges with the brass ones. The brass hinges look great, but the leaves are a little thicker than those of the old hinges - probably can't be helped. [...] Acceptable price.

Good fit and finish

I was refinishing a 100 year old Honduras mahogany clad entry door and the brass plating has worn off the old hinges. These were nearly identical except the ball finials were smaller. Not sure about the lacquer finish but since they are solid brass I figure the next guy to work on the doors won't have to worry about the hinges. I would have given them a 5 but for the smaller finials.
