Description

The classic and versatile 3-inch ball tip door hinge has been a favorite since the late 19th century. Our authentic reproduction hinge has a loose pin with attached finial, slotted and Phillips wood screws, and heavy duty 1/8-inch thick leaves - just like the originals. Made of solid extruded brass for high strength and durability.

Dimensions: 3" x 3" not including ball finials. Leaf thickness is 1/8".

Hardware Tip

Question: How are butt hinges measured? Answer: The height is just of the leaf not including the finials and the width is the total open width of both leaves and the knuckle.

Absolutely beautiful hardware

I searched high and low for Unlacquered brass hardware that would fit my doors. I'm so glad I found these at a super reasonable price. American made hinge

Restoration work on a cerca 1845 home sun room. Slight modifcation required on hinge insets as new hinges were heavier than the replaced hinges. [...] very good quality solid brass hinge.

Beautiful and functional product

The hinges themselves are outstanding. Well made, attractive, and they appear to be very durable. My only knock on the included screws. I drilled pilot holes as big as I dared and the screws stripped or broke in two. (Used a screwdriver, not drill) After 4 attempts I bought different ones from TrueV which worked fine.

Best hinges

don't assume

Comments:

I never heard of a door with one hinge, therefore assumed there would be two hinges [plausible given the price]. Had to pay shipping charges twice.
