Description

The classic and versatile 3-inch ball tip door hinge has been a favorite since the late 19th century. Our authentic reproduction hinge has a loose pin with attached finial, slotted and Phillips wood screws, and heavy duty 1/8-inch thick leaves - just like the originals. Made of solid extruded brass for high strength and durability.

Dimensions: 3" x 3" not including ball finials. Leaf thickness is 1/8".

excellent substantial and smooth

Comments:

satin nickel finish seems to scratch a bit easily, I had to be careful with installation. Other than that they are excellent and beautiful, almost as substantial as the original hinges on the door.

nickel plated hinges

Comments:

I was looking for these hinges in nickel plate and they were very hard to find except for ridiculous prices in NYC. These were nice quality at a fair price and so far work very well. The nickel finish has darkened very slightly, but that is to be expected.

If details matter...

Comments:

I was repairing/renovating a 100 year old oak screen door. The existing hinges weren't original, had nails for hinge pins! Your hinges fit the existing mortises perfectly (modern hinges this height are at least 1/4"" wider). These hinges were a great finishing touch to a successful project.

American made hinge

Restoration work on a cerca 1845 home sun room. Slight modifcation required on hinge insets as new hinges were heavier than the replaced hinges. [...] very good quality solid brass hinge.
