The classic and versatile 4-inch ball tip door hinge has been a favorite since the late 19th century. Our authentic reproduction hinge has a loose pin with attached finial, slotted and Phillips wood screws, and heavy duty 1/8-inch thick leaves - just like the originals. Brass Door HInges

Comments:

We replaced our old hinges with these brass hinges. They are beautiful in our 1890's era home. Our doors are very heavy. The hinges work great.

Hinges GREAT. Screws NOT GREAT.

Comments:

Everything about the hinge is excellent, aside from the screws. Two sets of screws are provided: Phillips-head and traditional slot-head. This is a thoughtful plus. However, while mounting the hinge with the traditional slot-head screws the screw head cracked off of the screw shaft. This despite pre drilling screw holes. This happened more than once using this same hinge and screws on three different doors. I can only conclude that the screws are poorly manufactured.

Solid and heavy

Comments:

Beautiful, heavy, lovely finish.

wonderful hinges

Comments:

Bought these for a client whose historical front door needed new hinges. They're heavy, solid. the pins are removable! and the bottom ball finial uncrews in case you needed to take it off. they came with 2 sets of screws-- phillips and slotted, of high quality and good length. I'm very impressed. will definitely recommend this website to others!

Classic and Elegant

Comments:

These hinges are like jewelry for our ""new"" salvaged front door. We ordered cheap hinges from another source for the last door we replaced and regretted it immediately, so I knew these were the way to go for the entrance to our home. Solid, classic, and historically correct.

Good replacement for 95 yr old entry door

Comments:

Hinnges were a good replacement for 95 year old entry door. Hole pattern matched well. Sturdy design and manufacture. Antique Prass finish was average. The hand rubbed finish (additional cost) might have been a better choice.

New Hinges for a beat up door

Comments:

The hinges will be match the door hardware in color and style. Perfect fit.

Quality, elegant, heavy

Comments:

We have used these through the first floor of the house. They are beautiful, heavy, solid, high quality pieces. I would highly recommend.

Very nice - exactly what I wanted

Comments:

Nice, solid hinge. I wasn't expecting brass screws too - nice but they shear very easily. Use a steel screw first in hard wood, to set the hole.

Creat looking hardware

Comments:

Like the fact that the hinges came with a set of slotted and philips screws - you get to decide.
