4-Inch Solid Brass Door Hinge With Ball Finials

I bought some brass hinges to replace hinges from the '20s that had been painted so many times they couldn't be saved. The ones I bought here are perfect replicas and this was the only place I could find the exact match.

Nice hinge but I ordered two and only got one. So, I replaced half a door.

We compared several oil-rubbed bronze hinges and the ones from House of Antique Hardware were the best on the market! There was no ""slop"" or ""play"" in their functioning. Other oil-rubbed hinges we considered had a powdery finish that appeared to need cleaning--these were perfect. They are solid and beautiful!! They even have slotted screws instead of phillips head for authentic period pieces.

The hinges I selected far surpassed my expectations. I live in a custom home that is 15 years old and recently installed 100 year old French doors. The hardware operates smoothly and effortlessly.

We are working on fixing up a 118 year old mansion. With the age of this building there are unique requirements. We were unable to purchase the needed hinges from local merchants due to the weight of the doors. This product is perfect at a reasonable price. Thanks.

The screw holes are slightly offset from the originals, which is good since the screws bite into solid wood without having to fill the old holes.

The hinges themselves are a very nice product...but I'd advise taking a trip to your local hardware store before you start the project as everytime I've purchased this product the screws that come with the hinges are poor and often break off even if you've pre-drilled holes. Also the slot heads on the screws are not always uniform, and are sometimes off-centered which gives a less-than perfect look to the finished project. Do yourself a favor..buy better quality brass screws from the hardware store before you begin to install the hinges.

Refurbished my front door with stuff that's nicer than the original equipment, which was just fine. When I started looking through your website, I decided to upgrade and I love it. Bought a new latch, kick plate and hinges. All lovely. If I ever build, I'll come to this site for my hardware.
