Premium Single-Pole Push Button Dimmer with Mother-of-Pearl Inlays

We have 120 year old house and wanted to keep the look. This looks exactly like the originals.

I am an electrician and live in a house built in 1931. We had installed the Premium Push Button switches, and decided to get dimmer style for our bedrooms, which have LED potlights. These switches look great, however the buttons do protrude from the wall further than the regular push button switches. The mother of pearl looks good, and the bottom rotary dimmer switch has tactile notches on the side. The function of the top push button works, however it feels cheap. It makes an audible click which is nice, however it lacks the mechanical resistance of the spring inside the regular push button switch. Installation of these switches can be very tricky. The body of the switch is very deep, at 1.5"". To put this in perspective, a normal/modern switch is less than 1"" deep, and the other push button switches are 1.25"" deep. This can make installing these switches extremely difficult, if there is more than one device in a box, or if there is existing wiring with marettes. If you have a renovation project and have used a rework style box, it is nearly impossible to fit these switches flush. The switches come with tinned connections for the hot and switch leg, and a very tiny eyelit connection on the ground wire. I recommend cutting all of these connections off, as a properly stripped, stranded connection is much better than the tinned or eyelit. The switches also come with extremely small wire connectors which are not useful at all for a 120v connection. Throw these away and use proper wiring marettes- I had to use the small orange size connections to fit these in the box properly, however the orange ones will fit and are about 3x larger than the tiny red ones provided with the switch. The function of the switch is okay- the dimmer will go from 100% to fully off, however there is no ""trim"" adjustment so that the switch can be dimmed and then turned on and off from the dimmed position, for LED pot lighting. It has to be turned back to 100% and dimmed again.

We put several of these dimmer switches in previously and just love them. They have operated perfectly and are so intuitive to use I much prefer them to the ""modern"" dimmer switches of today-not to mention the look absolutely fabulous.

Like some other reviews, the push button part of this switch feels a bit loose. The dimmer dial feels fine though. I bought several of these to replace some older versions of these switches as well as some toggle switches so that there was some consistency throughout the home.

The finish and pearl accents are first rate . Very smooth action of switch . Can't wait for power to house to be installed so can truly assess and enjoy these wonderful period reproduction switches !!

I've been replacing all the switches throughout my 1919 home with push-button switches and dimmers. They look totally authentic and work great. Adding a dimmer to almost every fixture is a great way to create ambiance in every room and also to have a nice dim lighting at night.

This dimming version of the two button switch works great for dimming LED lamps and matches the look of the rest of the original switches.

Rejuvenation hardware couldn't do expedited shipping and had very clunky inventory controls--couldn't even tell me how many they had. HAH had 1000+, a variety of finishes (mother of pearl really looks lovely!) and shipped in 2 days at very fair cost. I took a chance to get them in time for a party and they work beautifully! My electrician was happy to know about them--thought the quality and ease of install was excellent. I will buy everything electrical I need for my old Boston townhouse from HAH always!
