These are my go to switches for a historic restoration or a new construction. They add so much character and charm to an otherwise mundane switch. We added the unlacquered brass covers this time around for a true period look.

Replaced an original push button switch in our 1882 Victorian Home. The original weighed substantially more than the new item. The original had a hefty resistance and a solid feel when the button was pushed. The new switch requires very little effort to push and makes a non-assuring sound when the switch closes. As we have one original and now one modern switch we are constantly reminded of the difference in quality. This was described as a ""premium' switch but I can't imagine have a lesser quality switch than what I received. The pearl insert came off the 1st day of use. On the 2nd day, the circuit breaker for that circuit tripped when using the switch. It has not tripped a 2nd time. Glad there is such a replacement but sad it is not in the same league as quality and heft.

Really great switch in the victorian brass plate for a good price.

Reminder that the pearl is real, and therefore may not always be white-white on each button. This actually makes it look more authentic.
