Stamped Brass Oval Keyhole Cover

Our 1920s house has some brass keyholes as well as doors missing keyhole plates.Decided to match the whole house and came across these. It looks so great and really updated our house.

The stile is good it just thin material . If you decide to order this product make sure your door is 1-1/2 thicker or more

I purchased this product as part of the restoration of some of the brass door hardware in my 1920's era century home. For some reason, the original door hardware in some of the rooms was cheap steel with a brass-look finish. Some of the steel had become rusty, and cleaning it of the rust only brought out the color difference in the brass color of the door knob and the steel of this item. Very impressed with the real brass metal construction of the item as well as the correct size that matched that of the hardware in my home.

Worked in fine with originals in my 100+ years od house

Our 1940 house has original glass door knobs and with chrome finish hardware, but over the years previous owners had painted over the keyhole covers. Cleaning off what is probably lead-based paint just didn't seem worth it, and these worked great as replacements. They are very close to the shape and dimensions of the originals and look great with our knobs.
