Description

When you have a pre-bored door, but want to use vintage style knobs, this 3 1/4" diameter rosette may be just the thing. The mounting screw holes are spaced at 2 1/2" on center, which places them outside the 2 1/8" bore. Made of solid, forged brass with a choice of finish.

Outside diameter: 3 1/4". Inside collar diameter: 21/32".

Hardware Tip

How do I know what door knobs will work with a particular rosette or door plate? The knob shank diameter should be a little less than the inside collar diameter on the rosette.

Customer Service is Top-Knotch!

Comments:

House of Antiques' Hardware Specialist really helped me out of a design problem I had. I had purchased vintage reproduction interior door knobs at an estate sale for a steal of a price. However, since I live in a ""cookie-cutter"" home, the rosettes were way too small to cover the existing, pre-cut holes in the doors. I took a chance and wrote an email to House of Antiques to tell them of my problem. They were wonderful! I had many suggestions within 2 days. Thank you so much!

We have a 110 year old house. I Built a wall in closet for our master bedroom and wanted hardware to match what we already had.

Comments:

The Rosette doorknob plate and cylinder I purchased fulfilled my expectations. What stood out about my experience with the level of customer service I received. The salesperson on the phone walked me through the steps of measuring the door and the space for the doorknob. He was patient, thorough and guided me to the correct size and style. Since this was for an antique doorknob that is going into my granddaughters' bedroom closet, and a doorknob my wife has been carrying around for quite a while, it means a great deal to my wife and I that the doorknob will now be there when the kids arrive. Small detail but a big deal for their grandmother.

The unit appeared to be hand made, most quality and beauty..

Thank you again fro this beautiful reproduction quality part.

This rosette was exquisitely perfect!

Comments:

The original door (1924) had a stripped rosette barely holding the knob on. We needed a much larger on to secure into solid wood that had not been ravaged over the years...but still with the same diameter for the knob shaft to fit in. This piece not only looks exactly like the original, only larger as required...it looks like it was meant to be there. Perfection and problem solved!
