Traditional Single Duplex Cover Plate In Forged Brass

My only complaint with this whole product line is that the covers are 1/4"" thick thus requiring me to shim all of the original switches/outlets( easily done with a small nut placed between the switch/outlet and the outlet box for each of the screws... I usually buy a box of small nuts at the local hardware store). These plates almost match the originals but look out of place if used in the same room as the originals because they only protrude 1/8"" out. Maybe its just me but 1/4 vs 1/8th protrusion is noticeable.

When I replaced the mercury switches in my house, they needed new faceplates. The old ones were very nice porcelain ones with a rich design, but wouldn't work with the new switches. In replacing the switchplates, I needed outlet plates to match. These were perfect. I wanted these to be unobtrusive, but not cheap-looking. The minimalist design suits the working kitchen where these were installed.

What a difference it makes to have these gorgeous outlet covers in the rooms. They are exceptionally well made and heavy. Well worth the extra cost for the forged version.

Hard to find the originals of these anymore. I paid the same price for these as I would have for originals on [...] and would have had to refinish them. Nice heavy material and deep finish. Look right.

I live in an old farm house built in the early 1900's. The previous owner had mismatched hardware in various parts of the home. I had looked for some time to find cover plates that would match the hardware of the beautiful, old wood doors of the house. These plate covers in forged brass were a perfect match! They have helped to restore the original, more rustic look I was trying to achieve. I have received lots of compliments and inquiries about them.
