Doesn't work well dimming LED fixtures

Comments:

Does not work well with LED can lights. When dimming the lights will turn off completely when only 3/4 of the way turned down. When dimmed all the way, light will not come back on when switched off/on.

Doesn't work with recessed LED fixtures!!

Comments:

I ordered this, along with the single pole dimmer, for use in my living room. They are pretty nice looking, although they don't feel super solid for the high price. We have recessed LED lights where the bulb is integrated. Unfortunately these dimmers DO NOT work with this type of incredibly common light fixture. I am extremely disappointed, because this is not stated in the item description now or at the time of my purchase. The description says: ""(NOT FOR USE WITH NON-DIMMABLE LED OR CFL BULBS, FLUORESCENT FIXTURES, FANS OR MAGNETIC LOW VOLTAGE)."" My fixtures are dimmable, and are not fluorescent fixtures or fans, etc. So as far as I could tell, these should have worked. I had a professional electrician install them, and while the switch does sometimes turn the lights on and off, it doesn't control the dimming properly. The dimming is very uneven and turns off on lower settings, and the lights tend to flicker when on. When you press the switch to turn them back on, you have to crank the dimmer up to the max light setting and then dial it down to where you want it. Generally I just have to use the dimmer to turn them on and off. When I reached out to customer service, they simply told me that these switches are not designed to work with fixtures where the bulb is integrated - only for screw-in dimmable bulbs. Again, this is extremely disappointing because that should clearly be stated in the item description. I never would have bought these switches had I known. I hope they finally update the item description. In the meantime, buyer beware! Don't waste your money & check with customer service about your specific fixture before you buy!!

Excellent service & product

Comments:

I loved the pearl push button light switches when I bought my 1908 Craftsman, but only a few survived over the decades. I'm so happy that my lighting is restored to that beautiful look thanks to House of Antique Hardware.

Good price but not as nice as the one from Rejuvenation

Not recommended for commercial use

Great but not perfect

Comments:

The mother of pearl on one of the buttons completely fell off writhin the first 24 hours and required gluing to stay on. The type of glue used originally appeared to be on par with rubber cement. Stretchy and tacky to the touch. I used a 2 part epoxy and its held up great the last month+

Great idea for retro homes requiring dimmers

Comments:

On off switch not as positive as the single pole which has a firm feel to it . Switch portion soft and on button loose ( not bad don't misunderstand ) I would have liked to see it sturdier still good repo dimmer worked fine. Remember you much use proper LED's compatible with dimmers. Some LED BULBS WILL FLICKER ! ! ! Some will not. I believe the bulb choice is critical.

I have bought several versions of this item again and again.

Comments:

We installed push button plates to compliment our home built in 1899. They look great.

Looks authentic...at a glance...but not a Premium prduct.

Comments:

I bought this with the thought of undoing some re-muddling that had been done and have been extremely disappointed in the quality. The on off button feels and works like it is going to fall off. The on off button as well does not seat into the switch so it shows a gap. It makes no sense why this could not be designed properly. Clients care about the look and feel more than the price and to offer such a cheaply made product is not in my best interest. Selling this as ""premium"" is very misleading. Oddly the dimmer portion feels solid and works smoothly and seats into the switch. I'm perplexed how the dimmer control is so great and the on off portion is so poor...all in the same switch.

looks good to the eye....bad to the touch!

Comments:

It works, but is very flimsy to the touch. It feels cheap, and not worth the money. I hope the inner workings are better then the outer feel

Looks like grandmas house

Comments:

everyone says it looks like my grandmother's house no high tech look for us
