Cast Iron Cabinet Latch With Oval Turn Piece

I tried to find cast iron latches close to the ones on my cabinet. I unscrewed the old ones. I attached the new ones (small as they were. I attached them only on the back two holes because the front ones were off the wood to latch the doors.

These latches were the perfect finishing touch of the cabinet my husband made.

This was exactly what we needed and hadn't been able to find locally.

I installed latches on a glass fronted dish cabinet.

Wrong color. It looks black online. My cast iron pans are black, so I assumed that's what it would be and that's what we needed for our kitchen remodel. This latch is grey/silver (looks like silver with a darker grey glaze). I saw another person describe it as bronze, either way it isn't black iron by any means. Won't match our cupboard hinges or knobs at all, so we're returning them. It creaked a little when I turned the knob, but maybe that's a part of the reproduction charm!

This latch is pretty and the finish is nice. The quality is not great. We had one latch that was broken when received. The turn latch is not very smooth when opening and some are difficult to close (you have to push pretty hard). I bought one latch from another company that was more than three times the price of this latch. It was much larger and the quality was much better, but because of the quantity that I needed, I chose this latch.
