Description

Simple in style, rugged in material, this traditional sash lock is ideal for early American or other rustic home styles. Made of heavy duty cast iron, it'll provide decades of service. Antiqued and lacquered to preserve the look. The finish may wear with time, allowing natural and desirable aging to occur.

Dimensions. Latch base: 2 1/2" L x 1" W. Catch base: 2 9/16" L x 9/16" W.

Good lock Bad screws

Comments:

They should replace the cast iron screws and use steel screw with a cast iron finish. Even with drilling the slots wear out and heads pop off. Otherwise the locks themselves are good value.

Great Looking Window Hardware

Comments:

Used as a window lock.

Window sashes

Comments:

The sashes were just what we needed. Solid feel with smooth operation. Pre-drilled holes to help with installation.

Easy to install and looks great

Comments:

Easy to install and works just like it should. Very good value for the price

Excellent sash lock

Comments:

Well made and attractive product that was delivered promptly and priced very fairly. My only complaint is that the slots in the screws are a little shallow, making it hard to drive some of the screws all the way in.

Works beautifully if you don't use the screws provided!

Comments:

We're very happy with the sash locks, but I threw out the screws included because no screwdriver could catch the very shallow slots. We had better screws on hand and used those instead, otherwise it would have been impossible to install these. They need to fix this problem.

Bad screws included....I had to buy my own #4 x 1""

Comments:

Buy your own fasteners

Screw the Screws

Comments:

If you are expecting the cast iron locks to be black, you will be disappointed - they are not much darker than nautical gray. But the bigger problem is that the screws that come with are absolute garbage - very shallow slotted flat-head heads that don't hold a grip in tight spots (and all window glass creates tight spots). I assume the screws are cheesy across all colors and styles, so I suggest you not buy these until they upgrade the screws to slotted oval heads (also more period-appropriate) or Phillips head, either of which would provide more grip. If you must buy these, also buy some decent screws elsewhere to go with.

Great match

Hope this can withstand strong winds...
