I used this cording (with wire inside) to hand oil paintings, in my 1889 Victorian home, from the picture rail. The use of this prevents nails & screw holes in fragile 135 yr old lath & plaster walls.

I purchased braided, corded picture rope to hang pictures in one of our city offices. There are brick walls and we hung old photos, maps etc. from a cornice moulding. Works perfect!

Love the rich navy/royal blue picture cord. It doesn't always *feel* like my artwork is secure because the wire design is much thicker to accommodate the silk covering. But, they seem to be quite secure and hanging on the wall complete with a splash of color and a nod to the past.
