Product was received quickly. sales person was pleasant and very professional. good service
Great product - Blended well with my existing higes
Comments:
The hinges look like the ones being replaced. The predrilled holes for screw attachment aligned perfectly with the holes already in the sash and the shutters. It would be nice to have attaching screws included that would match the finish of the hinges.
New or antique?
Comments:
Just like the original ones on my 1898 home.
Perfect AND a bargain
Comments:
These hinges are the same authentic reproduction hardware you will find elsewhere at a much higher price. They look just like ""the real thing"" except they are new and in pristine shape rather than antique. The quality is very good and they operate as described. All of this at a fraction of the cost of [...]
quality at a great price
Comments:
Put functional shutters on windows. Hinges very easy to paint to desired color. Easy to install.
Review: Acme Cast Iron Mortised Shutter Hinges
Comments:
In New Orleans, these Acme cast iron hinges are the classic look everyone desires in a hinge combining functionality and elegance to the look of a shutter. I love the look and feel of these hinges and they are an authentic, aesthetic hinge that everyone desires for a French Quarter house. They work perfectly and they are well made. I do not ever expect to replace these hinges.
These hinges match the originals on our 1700's era museum.
Comments:
These were used to replace broken and missing hinges on our 1700's museum.
worked well for the most part!
Comments:
I love how these are small and hidden, and they work well! out of the 4 sets we bought, two hinges broke while we were installing them. Our brick is relatively even. I wish I could buy them individually instead of in sets, but now we will have an extra couple of hinges if another one breaks. Customer service is awesome, I originally ordered the wrong hinges, and called to figure out what I really needed and they were super helpful.
Works great even in a hot costal environment
Comments:
Really like the hinges once installed. They are a bit of a challenge to get each one mortised exactly, but once in, they are really nice.
