Mass produced by Lull & Porter in the mid-nineteenth century, the Acme hinge features a patented locking pintle design where the outer leaf rises slightly when opening then sets down to lock in place in the fully open or shut position, preventing lift-off from strong winds. When needed, the shutters are easily lifted off by hand without removing the hardware. Made of heavy duty cast iron, they feature a black weather-resistant powder-coated finish. The set includes two right-hand hinges, two left-hand hinges and two sill-mounted fasteners - enough to complete one window.
