Ornate Cast Iron Window Sash Lift With Lacquered Finish

Repurposing a reclaimed window sash for a mosaic art project, it needed a touch of vintage hardware to punch up the well-weathered wood. The hardware was beautiful, and what a surprise that it came with matching screws!!!

This is a great solution for new construction windows with narrow frames. We replaced the windows of a 120 year old greystone this year, and used these lifts throughout. They are great for the narrow frames, and allow ease of operation without compromising the vintage feel of the home.

We live in a log house and recently installed replacement windows. We didn't want just the plain sash lifts with our beautiful new windows, so we were delighted when we found this product. They really dressed up our new windows and at a reasonable price.

I am restoring an 1898 home in San Jose, California. These window sash lifts almost identically match the existing ones currently in the home.

Have not had time to install them yet. I just started installing the hinges I bought with this order. Some of the hinges are corroded already. Not cool. I wish I inspected everything before the 20 days were up. I just figured this was a reputable company and nothing that obvious would have happened.

I needed a sash lift to match the existing lifts in my Queen Anne Victorian. This was the perfect match. The finish looks like a restored original lift. The design was ornate but not detracting from the overall look of the lift. One caution...the screws are not robust enough if you have original wooden sash windows. The lift feels as if it would pull out if I used alone. This can be rectified with more robust screws.

Easy to install and a perfect substitute for old, broken hardware on our 1850 windows.

The detail is lost because the finish is black.
