as good as the originals

Comments:

It's magical to be able to find replacement items for a house that's so old, like a cast-iron keyhole cover that matches the one put in over 150 years ago.

Authentic keyhole match

Comments:

We were remodeling our second floor and wanted to use the original bedroom doors. One of the doors was missing the keyhole cover. After looking online we found House of Antique Hardware and the keyhole cover was an exact match to what we had.

Perfect fit for my house

In addition to working as an architect, I also own a 1785 colonial that I have restored to a BnB- each room entrance door is adorned with antique replica locking systems.

Comments:

We own an old, 1920 house and over time the doors had been painted so many times, that I broke the little keyhole covers off, trying to remove the hardware. I honestly didn't think I'd find a perfect match, but Antique Hardware had them at a great price. We got the doors sanded down and put back the locks. Great find.
