Description

In the 19th century, plain iron rosettes such as these were paired with porcelain knobs on doors with rim or mortise type locks. Small and understated, they are again a popular choice for restoration or vintage new construction. The iron is powder coated black to prevent rusting. Please note, this rosette will not work on pre-drilled doors.

Dimensions: 1 7/8" outer diameter. Screw hole: 1 1/2" center to center. Inside collar diameter: 11/16".

Hardware Tip

How do I know what door knobs will work with a particular rosette or door plate? The knob shank diameter should be a little less than the inside collar diameter on the rosette.

Beautiful Rosette to match our period Victorian farm house

Comments:

Restoring Victorian farmhouse kitchen door and looks amazing

Cast iron rosette

Comments:

Some of the doors in my 1842 house were lacking rosettes. I was delighted to find these rosettes available. If they were slightly larger, they would be a good match for the existing rosettes.

Door Knob holders

Comments:

We made a Laundry room hanger. The rosette offset the antique door knobs perfectly.

Glad I could find it

Comments:

I'm glad this is available, as it can be very time-consuming to try to find the right parts in antique shops. Looks and works as it should.

Heavy Rosette with cheap screws

Comments:

The items arrived in good shape, the rosettes are wonderful - the screws are flat head cheap pieces of junk. I couldn't believe it when one SNAPPED while being installed; I'm installing it in soft pine and it was only 1/2 way into the wood! Now I need to find replacement screws which means another trip to the store. I'm frustraed having paid so much for such a neat looking product only to have my excitment destroyed by the fact that they tried to save another .005 cents on a decent installation screw!

Nice but screws are too long

Comments:

NIce product but the screws provided are too long if you have a period mortise lock. I had to use a hacksaw to shorten the screws so I could drive them in completely without hitting the mortise lock.

Nice rosette to go on my 1930's door

Comments:

Good quality, solid and nice simple design and construction.

Not great.

Comments:

The screws don't match the rosette - rosette is black - more satin than matte - and the screws are grey.

Plain, not fancy

Comments:

What can I say, they are rosettes? My originals are three hole, these are two, but otherwise appropriate. Not a major issue, unless you are really, really looking.

Simple and solid

Comments:

This is great, simple and solid product.
