cast iron rim lock set put to the test

Comments:

this product is as close to our original rim lock sets as you could ever get in quality and style.

LOve these!!

Comments:

We ordered 7 of these to replace the mismatched doorknobs in our turn of the century home. My husband, who is a carpenter by trade, installed new solid wood paneled doors and these knobs throughout the upstairs and on our one first floor door. They look fabulous. They work great (both key lock and lever lock work and are easy to operate). It has really transformed the look of our second floor. I love them.

Perfect for my project

Comments:

Looks great on my restoration project for a 1880's general store.

key didn't work

Comments:

The door knob looks great and it the right size for the fittings. The knob works smoothly. THe threaded knob crossbar is too long and requires washers to anchor. The skeleton key didn't move any mechanism and hardly fits in the opening. It couldn't be returned as it was beyond the 20 day limit.

Rimlock Set

Comments:

Keys are too short and don't work well when locking or unlocking

This is a beautiful lock.

Comments:

This lock is just what I wanted for my pine door. The black finish is nice and the porcelain door knobs are beautiful. The only problem I had was that the post connecting the knobs was too long for the thickness of the 160 year old door. I solved it with a stack of black rubber washers!

not satisfying

Comments:

the rim lock have a conception problem, it does not works well, even after I received an other one supposed to work properly. I do not understand why, as I already bougnt the same item(the design has changed since) a few years ago and it works very well since.

Looks great in our old house

Comments:

We are redoing our old farm house and the lock and knobs fit right in.

Replacement Rim Lock review

Comments:

My house is over a hundred years old and I wanted a product that would look like it belongs and still function like new. This rim lock met all my expectations. It is as good as the new original I found in an antique shop a few years back, if not better.
