Description
Dimensions: Lock body: 3 3/16" W x 3 3/4" H x 3/4" Thick. Keeper: 3/4" W x 3 3/4" H x 3/4" Thick. Knobs: 2 3/8" Diameter. Rosette: 1 7/8" Diameter. Keyhole Cover: 15/16" W x 1 11/16" H. Backset: 2 1/4".
Door Thickness: 1" to 1 3/4". Spindles: Includes 3 1/2" & 4" lengths both 20 TPI and 9/32" W. Use 3 1/2" spindle for 1" to 1 1/2" thick doors, use 4" for 1 5/8" to 1 3/4" thick. Includes an Allen wrench and set screws for mounting knobs to spindle.
Please note: the privacy latch can not be disengaged from outside the room.

Very nice rim set -- well made and very heavy. Conceptually easy to install; however, when installing on a 130 year old door one will likely need to bring creative carpentry skills to bear due to door/foundation settling creating misalignment from the original installation. A bit of an odd comment but the lock set is almost too well made! My prior experience with rim sets is that they were inexpensive pieces of hardware used in modest (at best) construction. This piece of hardware is a solid, cast iron with well machined heavy brass components and keys -- it almost seems too nice for our modest, very working class, old house. That said, I really appreciate the quality and smooth operation.

We had a hard time finding this product then a friend told us about your company. Our house was build in 1900 so at least now if we need to replace any of the others to fit on our door we have a company to go to.
Great looking rim lock sets

I have a house built in the 1840s. Most of the original locksets on the interior doors were non- operational; they no longer latched, broken & missing pieces, etc. It is almost impossible to find replacement Rim Lock sets today. Luckily, I found them at The House of Antique Hardware. I couldnt be more pleased with this product. The quality is excellent. The old doorknob holes on the doors even lined up with the new locks! Installation is not difficult either. I highly recomend.

Second time I've purchased this product.

After about 50-70 use it begins to malfunction and strips easily. Otherwise I like the product. As a bedroom door knob it's fine, but as a front door main use knob I wouldn't recommend this product. It begins to wear and slips due to stripping of material.
HORRIBLE FAILURE

After 3 years of working fine, the lock broke internally, and locked my bathroom door shut forever. We had to break down the door in order to get back into the room. Do not purchase this lock.
