Excellent Replacement
Comments:
I wish that all of the hardware in the house was like this set; as the old ones break I will replace them with these.
Authentic Reproduction Hardware

Hanging salvaged, restored double-arch lit door on Victorian era home.
Just the right fit!
Comments:
I own a summer cottage built in 1888 in Northern Michigan. When the lock on the front door broke, my locksmith said that he could replace it with a modern lock, that would work better. I wanted to find a replica of the old lock since I had already installed a deadbolt and didn't want to have the front of the cottage look too modern. I searched to find just the right fit, so that my door wouldn't have to be re- cut, and this is a perfect reproduction of the lock that was on the door. It fit perfectly in the existing holes on the door and works like a charm! I'm very satisfied! I am not a ""handyman,"" so I hired someone to install it for me.
BEAUTIFUL AND EASY TO INSTALL.

Makes period doors look great without any hard work using only simple drill and handtools.
aDOORable product

We have owned our 1880's Victorian for over 43 years. During that time we have tried to keep everything as original as possible. We have looked for replacement parts to fix our rim lock door hardware at every antique store we come across to no avail. We finally found this website and decided to give these a try. We only ordered 3 to start. After installing those we ordered the rest. The installation only required enlarging the key hole in the door minimally with a rasp. Everything else lined up with the door perfectly. Except for the gold finish on the interior lock tab you can't tell the difference from the original ones.
perfect match for old locks
Comments:
This lock replaced a broken lock and had to look right with 2 other locks on doors into the same room. When it arrived it turned out to be exactly the same size and detailing. Better than the old locks because it came with keys that work.
Cast Iron Rim Lock Set for Main Bath
Comments:
I recently purchased a 142 year old home and it had doors, knobs, windows etc., that were all updated at individual times over those years. The oldest lockset was on the front and back doors and they were nearly identical to the rimlock set with ceramic knobs set I just purchased. I couldn't be happier. Instllation was a breeze (although I am well experienced, I believe a person with little experience could have accomplished this task easily).
I would order anything from this company

Finally found what we were looking for, for years. Will keep your address handy. We have a stone house built in 1862 in Quebec, Canada and all the door locks were finished. We consider ourselves very lucky to have found your site. We will order again for sure. The service from your people was very courteous and helpful. Thank you for being there. I am restoring my doors to their original turn of the century look (getting rid of the ugly Kwikset handles and simple hinges) and these hinges make the doors look great.
Great rim lock door hardware
Comments:
The rim lock sets went on easily and seem to be very sturdy. Our doors are original and a couple are warped after 200 years of age, so we have to slam doors or push really hard in order to get the lock to engage. This problem is entirely with our doors and not the rim lock set. In fact, it's a testament to the sturdiness of these rim locks that they can withstand the slamming and pressure our doors put on them. Only complaint is with the door knobs. The post or stem or whatever you call the metal piece that extends through the door is much longer than we needed, so we had to saw off about an inch from each end. That took a while. Again, I suspect the cause of the problem is our original doors and the fact that they are so thin.
