very nice indoor lock set. replaces original lock sets and is very similar if not completely identical. feel and quality of the set is excellent, works well and is easy to install. needed to do a very slight amount of adjustment but nothing which was significant. will definitely buy additional sets for the remaining inside doors

These were exactly what I needed after every original mortise lock and handle was accidentally thrown away during a restoration of a duplex. These fit beautifully with minor cutting and patching of the doors (very minor!) The only reason I recommend a skilled handy man is for this purpose. So easy to install otherwise. A previous owner painted all of the door hardware and we can't wait to replace it all. We already replaced the hardware for one door and we couldn't be happier. The door is a 100 years old and it did not need much tweaking for the lock to fit.

Beautiful brass and matches all of our original knobs in the house. The only thing we haven't been pleased with is the screws holding knob on bar comes loose a lot.

These door knobs have made the perfect replacement for our originals. I ordered these (along with matching door hinges) in the unlaquered brass finish, which is absolutely stunning. The weight, quality, and overall design is phenomenal. These doorknobs maintain the historical integrity of our century old doors, but offer a fresh new look to doors that were looking sad after decades of bad paint jobs. My wife and I renovated our prewar 3-BR in BK and we wanted to compliment the beautiful metal door-frames we had stripped. We replaced the cheap brass doorknobs with brushed nickel mortise sets. What a difference. They look spectacular and it's finishing touches such as these that really created just the home we wanted. The only difficulty in installing them was that they didn't always line up with the existing holes in the door-frame. Our Super chiseled them a bit to make them fit, but we're going to end up getting some custom strike-plates made so that they fit perfectly. I am very happy with our purchase and I hope the above is helpful to you.

Happy with this product. Just wish the strike plate on the actual mortise lock was oiled rubbed bronze rather than having to screw in an overlay.

Solid operation and weight to the product. They only con: if you order a color other than brass, cover plates are sent with the locking assembly (strike plate and mortise lock assembly plate) to hide the brass. The handle set/face plate and knobs are colored properly and are very solid, nothing cheap about them at all. Great product overall. Would purchase again.
