New York Mortise Lock Set With Waldorf Crystal Knobs

Very experienced trim carpenter spent hours on these. There is a small plastic piece to keep the handle secure but when you use it the knob doesn't turn. Client's mother got trapped in the bathroom. Take the piece out and it rattles. The product alone is attractive but the problems with installation far outweigh the attractiveness.

Worth the price...makes the room.

We recently completed renovating our condo and were hoping to replace the older, non-working Oil Rubbed Bronze doorknobs. Mortise lock knob sets are hard to find and after searching everywhere, we found these. The doorknobs work for the first time and they look amazing. We had a professional install them, as it took some extra work to remove the old sets that were original to the house and painted over many times. While slightly pricey, they did not disappoint! I highly recommend them.

Disappointed that extended strikes are not available. This lock works well with Craftsman Style architecture, typically casings are wide flat boards 13/16"" thick and extended strikes are required! The provided strike plate is reversible but steps in the openings are odd looking, not traditional. Old lock was missing, this new one fit with some modification to the existing old mortice. Nice heavy mounting ears made this an easier task. Really like the key, some other brands look too modern.
