Description
Door set dimensions: Doorknobs measure 2" in diameter. Back plates are 7" H x 2 1/4" W.
Latch dimensions: Latch case: 7/8" diameter. Latch face plate: 2 1/4" H x 1" W.
Standard door range: 1 3/8" to 1 3/4" thick.

I have this door knob on the 5 panel doors in my 1912 house in Virginia. They look great! Almost like they could've always been there--just fresher. They operate perfectly. It is a clean look, but still traditional.

Reproduction door latches

We would recommend that the lock mechanism be relocated or at least not stick out so far. It seems to interfere with turning the knob and is far too easy to inadvertently lock.
Good quality, but doesn't exactly replace our original

Our house was built in 1910. All of our interior handles are this New York style. After our old ones kept falling off, we decided it was time to buy new handles. Well, the handle looks great, but our old fashioned handles have a long door insert (that goes into the actual door. I know I am not up to date on my handle vocabulary). This handle has a standard insert. So now we have a huge hole we have to figure out how to fill... We can't install them currently.
Good solid hardware

We have purchased less expensive door sets in the past but are happy with this purchase as the door set seems much more solid and we hope the finish holds up well but only time will tell. We are happy with our purchase.

The Oil Rubbed Bronze finish on this door knob provides a nice contrast to doors painted white or other light colors. It operates well and the shape of the knob feels good in your hand.
