Description

In its austere sophistication, the New York plate with black porcelain knob is an essential set for the discerning colonial eye. Expressed in six finishes, with keyhole.

Door set dimensions: Black porcelain doorknobs measure 2 1/4" in diameter. Back plates are 7" H x 2 1/4" W.

Latch dimensions:Latch case: 7/8" diameter. Latch face plate: 2 1/4" H x 1" W.
Standard door range: 1 3/8" to 1 3/4" thick.

Renaming NY Style: Cape May Style!

The previous owners of our home thought white faux wood doors were perfect for this characterless beachhouse. In fact, they just looked cheapo. We jettisoned those in favor of simple oak doors. Finding just the right hardware proved challenging. Either the options were too ornate or too blah. We didn't need to make a big statement -we just wanted a quiet harmony and good quality. House of Antique Hardware's New York Style door-sets with black porcelain knobs are perfect. We went with the oil bronze finish, to contrast with the light oak. The overall effect is that the entire place looks more substantial. It's not an exaggeration - look at the photos!!
