Description

Our sturdy reproduction Mortise Strike Plate (3 1/2-Inch) is perfect for replacing a missing, or an old or broken strike plate for an antique mortise lock. The solid-brass construction is made to last—helping to keep your doors working smoothly for years to come. It comes in an array of popular finish options, and it’s reversible for left or right handing.
When using this as a replacement plate, it is important to carefully measure the space between the bolt and latch cutouts to ensure proper fit.

Hardware Tip

Beautiful Historic Style Strike Plate

I searched every local refurbished/historic store locally and could not find strike plates for my historic home. I was ecstatic to find these lovely reproductions via House of Antique Hardware. The fit perfectly and have a beautiful finish. So often, when doors are refurbished and sent to ecobuilder stores, the strike plates get left behind. So, it's great that House of Antique Hardware has a wide variety of sizes for historic homeowner needs. Highly recommended for beautiful color/finish and perfect sizing.

Chrome plated strike plate

Hole for lock was large enough for the lock, not true for other strike plates you sell. Chrome finish and size of lock hole drove the decision on this purchase.

Door Frame Problem Solved!

Up-dating a 90 yr. old home for the 21st Century, we added several rooms. The home has excellent style/design, we felt it was important to maintain that look in the new addition.
