Description

Dating from the late 19th century, this small rim lock is ideal for French and screen doors. Finely crafted from cast iron and available in two vintage finishes, it features mostly brass interior parts for long-lasting quality. Paired with crisp, white porcelain knobs, it's a period perfect Victorian-style set suited for both rustic and refined interiors. Fully reversible for right or left handed doors.

Dimensions: Latch body - 2 1/8" H x 2 3/8" W x 3/4" T. Keeper - 2 1/8" H x 3/4" W x 3/4" T. Backset: 1 1/2". Rosette: 1 7/8" diameter. Knobs: 1 7/8" diameter.

Door Thickness: 1" to 1 3/4". Spindles: Includes 3 1/2" & 4" lengths both 20 TPI and 9/32" W. Use 3 1/2" spindle for 1" to 1 1/2" thick doors, use 4" for 1 5/8" to 1 3/4" thick. Includes an Allen wrench and set screws for mounting knobs to spindle.

Hardware Tip

Rim locks are attached to the surface of a door operated by a knob or lever. Rim locks are mounted on in-swing doors on the inside of a room with a skeleton key and/or privacy bolt to lock.

I would not buy this item, except the previous one broke

The door knob assembly broke, for no reason. It is barely used. The spring came out, and the youngest no longer works.

Perfect closet food knob for our old house

Screen porch door solution

Comments:

Are use this product to make a latch for the screen door when I closed in our porch. I wanted to door to swing in words so therefore no screen porch hardware would work using this provided a nice solution and did not damage the screen door in anyway.
