Small Cast Iron Rim Latch for French or Screen Doors
Description
This very small rim latch is ideal for narrow French doors and exterior screen doors. Made of cast iron with all brass interior parts. The latch is only 2 3/8" wide and works best with small brass or porcelain knobs, or lever handles. Charming and versatile, it's a handy latch for closets, linen cupboards and wardrobes, as well! Finished with a durable matte black powder coat.
Dimensions: Latch body - 2 1/8" H x 2 3/8" W x 3/4" T. Keeper - 2 1/8" H x 3/4" W x 3/4" T. Backset: 1 1/2".

Hardware Tip
Rim locks are attached to the surface of a door operated by a knob or lever. Rim locks are mounted on in-swing doors on the inside of a room with a skeleton key and/or privacy bolt to lock.

Solid but not for outdoors

Solid lock set but I would not recommend it for outdoor use. The screws that came with the hardware rusted outside within one week. I will most likely have to replace the screws on the hardware with One's that don't match because of this.
