Attractive and like they were made for my door.
Comments:
The door knobs are extremely attractive. It's like they were made for the doors in my 160 year old home. I haven't installed them yet, but I did check out the fit and function and I'm looking forward to it.
Great product, solid

These will add the look I want on my hand made doors in my rustic cabin I am building.
Looks cool, but quality is lacking
Comments:
This looks good and has a sturdy feel and the knobs themselves are nice, but the screw holding the spring inside the handle assembly was too tight, preventing the latch from coming back out about half the time, so there was some adjustment to be made. The finish also chips right off, so be prepared to touch up with some epoxy paint or nail polish....honestly not impressed
Nice quality but two problems
Comments:
Two problems: the center shaft connecting the knobs was 3/8"" too long for my 1 1/8"" thick doors and had to be carefully cut off with a hacksaw. The door knob is situated way too close to the door edge, allowing me less than 1/4"" between the edge of the knob and the door jam on the outside of the door (the inside is fine). Otherwise, I really like it and would have bought several more but for the shortcomings.
These are great but need to be ""adjusted""
Comments:
These knobs and lock set look amazing and work well. They did, however, need some adjusting. The first issue was that a screw on the back of the rim lock stuck out too far. This screw holds a small plat that allows the door catch to be flipped. I stuck out to the point where the rim lock would not lay flat on the door. I ground it down with a dremel tool. The other issue was that the included spindles were too long. While the set contained a long and a short spindle, the short spindle was still too long to fit a 1"" thick door. I used a dremel tool and a cut off wheel to cut about 3/4"" from the spindle. An average do it yourselfer may be able to locate the rim lock and escutcheon and drill holes but may not have the tools and skills necessary to modify metal parts. Please keep in mind that this set is designed for doors that swing inward. It is possible to mount this on a door that swings outward but not with the included catch. I had to order catches from somewhere else as they are not available on HoAH for a few bucks. Those catches should be included in this set as it is marked as a storm door rim lock but I don't think i've ever seen a storm door that swings inward. I could have mounted the rim lock on the outside of the door but that is not how they were intended to be used.
