Description

Dating from the late 19th century, this small rim lock is ideal for French and screen doors. Finely crafted from cast iron and available in two vintage finishes, it features mostly brass interior parts for long-lasting quality. Paired with understated levers, it's a period perfect Victorian-style set suited for both rustic and refined interiors. Fully reversible for right or left handed doors.

Dimensions: Latch body - 2 1/8" H x 2 3/8" W x 3/4" T. Keeper - 2 1/8" H x 3/4" W x 3/4" T. Backset: 1 1/2". Projection: 3 1/4" Inside, 3 1/8" Outside. Rosette: 1 7/8" diameter. Lever: 2 3/8" L.

Door Thickness: 1" to 1 3/4". Spindles: Includes 3 1/2" & 4" lengths. Use 3 1/2" spindle for 1" to 1 1/2" thick doors, use 4" for 1 5/8" to 1 3/4" thick. Includes an Allen wrench and set screws for mounting levers to spindle.

Hardware Tip

Rim locks are attached to the surface of a door operated by a knob or lever. Rim locks are mounted on in-swing doors on the inside of a room with a skeleton key and/or privacy bolt to lock.

Looks good but poorly made

It looks good but it's junky. It's loose and can't be tightened because it's just the way the handle is made it's junk you get what you pay for the handle flops down and doesn't stay horizontal

Smooth operation

Was the perfect size for a small interior door. Threaded actuating rod allows for nearly infinite adjustments on varied door thickness in order to get the perfect amount of 'slack' and to get the handles well aligned.
