One of the locks original to our 1890's Victorian broke and this lock is the same size, same look. It fit perfect and you barely notice it's not old.

high quality reproduction, authentic casting process makes it indistinguishable from the originals. Keys are very heavy and work smoothly. I used cast iron in the mudroom entry, but brass throughout the house. The keys are not readily interchangeable, although with a little dremmeling, the cast iron keyhole can be enlarged enough to accommodate the same key used by the brass locksets. Excellent value, PLEASED customer.

I restored an original door from 1850 and wanted hardware similar to original. This rimlock looks exactly like those which werre used on the other doors. IN function, however, there is too much play (lost motion) in the action.

Nice quality -we have bought other repro locksets from other manufacturers, and these are much better made. The brass accents really stand out against the black.

The doors which I installed these on are from the 1830s. This product is such an authentic replication that all I had to do for installation is remove the wood puddy in the door that covered the holes of the original rim locks. Nice motion and looks fantastic. Highly recommended for a real authentic look.
