1835 Historic Home Door

Comments:

Installed the rim lock on an original 1835 door for a new bathroom built in my 1835 estate home. Couldn't find the same size lock as all the other doors, so code one that would go with the bath colors since it's on the inside of the door. Love it! The safety lock is a bit tight but we're working on adjustments.

Satisfied my obsessive compulsive self

Comments:

Vert pleased with the historic character of these locks. They function as the originals and have the same operating characteristics.

As authentic as an original rim lock

Comments:

I bought this as a sample to see how it would compare to some original Rim Locks I salvaged from an 1890's house. I have to say it looks and operates just like my originals, I'd rate it as a 98% exact replica. Heavy and sturdy just like the originals. The only problem is it just looks too ""new"" but I'm sure after a few years of use it will look just as worn as an original. I only wish these locks were made in the USA.

An exact duplicate of the oldies

Comments:

I bought these to go on some old 4 panel wood doors that came out of my grandmother's house. The doors are over 100 years old and had the original locks and knobs on them. I was originally going to restore the old locks, but then I found these. AND they have keys. So for the price, to keep the old look and have functionality, I couldn't go wrong.

Perfect match to the orignal hardware

Comments:

If you are trying to match the original then you need to look no further.
