Ovolo Single Duplex Outlet Cover Plate

Fine quality- well cast and heavy. I did have to shim the receptacles out to be properly seated in the covers. The antique brass finish looks to contrived and plasticky- something one might expect from a big box home improvement store. I decided to strip the finish and let them develop a more natural patina. I've made many order from the company. Although I appreciate the quality and thoughtfulness of the products, the shipping time is painfully slow-it is typically days before the items are shipped. Still, I plan on doing business with them in the future and am grateful that these quality, if not somewhat overpriced, products are available to me.

This is a beautifully authentic outlet plate. They're solid; real metal, and add a fantastic touch to the decor. I'm in the process of slowly restoring my 1955 mid century and these plates will be great, together with the new button switches and doorknobs. Keep in mind that the average house has A LOT of outlets, so replacing them all with authentic ones can add up.

Outlet covers are hefty, high quality and beautifully designed. I also got the light cover and all was well and easy for that but I had a challenge installing the outlet covers. The supplied screws were the same length as the ones for the light but I needed them to be longer to actually screw into my brand new electrical outlets. Ended up having to leave the screws from the previous outlet covers that don't match until I can find some that doo. Contacted customer service and they looked into it but didn't have matching screws in a longer length. It's possible they may work fine on older outlets but the depth of the plate may cause a challenge.

I bought this style for several rooms in my house. I love the elegant look, but since the center of the cover is raised (versus recessed), the mounting screw provided was too short to engage in the existing electrical outlet. I had to rummage around the shop to find a longer screw that matched.

Very excellent product. Extremely heavy and high quality feel. I tried black, brown, and ivory receptacle; definitely looks best with brown receptacles. I have one big qualm with the product. I installed with Leviton commercial receptacles (CR15), though the issue will exist with any receptacle. The screws to affix the receptacles to the wall box are button head screws; these screw heads will always hit the cover plate no matter how it is installed. It is impossible to get the receptacles 100% ""screwed in"" to the cover plate. This can introduce a very slight wobble. I replace with flat top machine screws, which dramatically helped but did not solve the problem. The only solution would be to use a rotary tool and make a small divot on the cover plate to accommodate the screw heads. In practice, I am nitpicking. Once fully installed in the wall, you will never notice the wobble. But I dry fit everything on my counter, and there is a noticeable difference in how secure the receptacles feel when the screws are interfering. At this price point, I was hoping for perfection; and this slight design flaw definitely makes the product ""imperfect"". Still very good, and I will still order more.

These plates are definitely worth the cost. They're solid, nicely heavy. The only real ""issue"" is that I had to back out the screws a little on the outlets in order to mount the plates properly. Still, they're fantastic and look great.

The wall outlet cover is like a piece of jewelry to the room. Very nice quality.

I ordered the Ovolo Double cover plate and the single plate cover in antique brass and they're absolutely a perfect fit and beautiful!

Screws included are 1/4 inch, which are too short for this switch plate as it set off the wall by a lip. 3/4 inch would be just right, however, these are not obtainable. Needed to buy 1"" switch screws at big box store plus a channel lock tool to cut them down. Need strong man to squeeze cutting tool! Sadly, HAH did not respond to my query, so figured out myself. The outlet covers are lovely, though, and I will just plow through one by one.
