Beautiful, but be aware of an issue with renovations
Comments:
Be aware that the back side of the plate is flat. If you are using cut-in boxes, the plastic flange of the box lies against the wall, sticking out slightly from the plane of the wall. The flat back of the switch plate will not sit flat against the wall like a regular switch plate.
Blast from the past!

The CAST cover plates are exactly as pictured on the website. The major problem is that there is no back relief as there is on the STAMPED switch covers. I ordered these covers for my hallways and living room, 2 of which have a 5 foot high wood (natural VG Douglass Fir) wainscotting. When you put in the switches there is the small mounting strip and a round head screw that sits higher than the wood surface by about 1/8 inch, so the plates sit on top of the screw and leave a 1/8 in gap between the wood and the back of the plate. This is not the case when you use stamped covers like the cameo. So I had to chisel a grove in the wood to let the switches and plugs sit into the wainscotting, base board, and even in the hall that was plastered without cracking or damaging the rest of the existing surface, Now they sit flush. All that it would have taken for the manufacturer to fix this, would have been to use a little less brass by casting a relief into the backside of the cover. Unless you REALLY LOVE the design and are willing to either go the extra mile, or put up with a gap, I would NOT RECOMMEND this cover, or any other cast cover that does not have the proper backside relief!
Excellent quality. We have our entire home done with these.

Plates are flat on the back. Your outlets must be recessed for the plate to sit against the wall.
Fine touches mean everything

Simple and easy way to refine your space. Makes a ton of difference and finishes the room.
Flat Back
Comments:
The flat back (no recess) makes it unsuitable for walls that are not completely flat. Looks nice though.
Good looking product.
Comments:
Had to recess outlet into wall or plastic outlet box for the cover to sit flat against the wall. Not to big of a problem to overcome.
