Description

As rugged and durable as it looks, this standard size quad GFI cover plate captures the essence of Craftsman design. This simple wallplate with its incised border and characteristic hammered surface, is made of solid, cast brass. Choose from two vintage finishes of Antiqued Brass or Oil-Rubbed Bronze. 4 9/16-inch x 8 5/8-inch.

Dimensions: approximately 4 9/16" H x 8 5/8" W. Projection: 1/8".

Please note this cover plate has a flat backside.

Hardware Tip

For an authentic period look in your restoration or vintage-style new construction, install black or brown switches and outlets in combination with our reproduction cover plates.

Brass Outlet Cover Plate

tight fit

Comments:

We love the look of this switchplate. Unfortunately the holes are slightly too small for some rocker style plates. It fit the normal ones but we have one that is also a dimmer and while it looks to be the same size, it must be slightly bigger, so it didn't fit. We took a file and filed the edges of the opening to make it work. Also, the back of the switchplate is just flat (most modern ones have a slight ridge around the edges and recessed part in the middle) This caused it to not sit flush on the wall. We used plaster on the wall to build up the area around the switches and hide some of this.
