Description

These Windsor pattern door knobs are some of our finest Victorian era reproductions. Introduced by Reading Hardware around 1885, the whimsical Aesthetic design is just as fresh and lovely today. Made of solid cast brass and finished with our living antique patina.

Dimensions. Knobs: 2 5/16" diameter. Shank: 43/64" diameter, drilled for a 20 TPI spindle. Spindle: 4 1/2" L x 5/16" W. Includes set screws and an Allen wrench for mounting knobs to spindle.

Hardware Tip

How do I know what door knobs will work with a particular rosette or door plate? The knob shank diameter should be a little less than the inside collar diameter on the rosette.

Great, solid doorknobs! I love them!

Comments:

What I really like about new v/s antique is that this new one is nearly endlessly adjustable to the thickness of the door+hardware. Many of the older ones have 3 depth adjustments on either side and I often end up having to further adjust with washers on the shaft or end up with a loose knob.

knob with the perfect magic

Comments:

the accent on the new wooden door with framed boxed glass

Perfect for my brownstone door

Comments:

My old doorknob was completely stripped - this was a perfect replacement - fit entirely with the existing hardware - love it!

Quality good, design is okay

Comments:

Quality materials and is beautiful. Don't like that the set screws hold it in place. The originals fit into a square shaft with a square hole with countersunk screws threaded into holes in the shaft. Seems like the set screws on these are the obvious week link? What if they strip? They will likely loosten over time and handle will just spin.
