Adequate
Comments:
The switch mechanism is light weight and the actual switch feels flimsy. I don't actually expect it to perform well in the long term. Since it is installed in my own home, I decided to keep it and see how it actually performs long term. I would not buy this switch again.
Beautiful! 4 stars only because we haven't installed it yet.
Comments:
We have mostly push button switches in our 1911 home, so when we renovate and need to add a switch, we put in push buttons. They looks great; a person can't tell the new ones from the originals. We are still renovating, and haven't installed this actual switch yet, but it feels great and I'm confident it will work well. Here's hoping.
Best Push-Button Light Switches
Comments:
We recently moved into an old house with knob and tube wiring. We had to rewire the house, but I wanted to keep the old push button light switches but update them to new and safer hardware. I bought Classic Accents switches for the whole house. They work fine but are clearly cheaply made and the pearl insets fell out within the first week. When I needed an extra switch I bought this one from Antique Hardware and what a difference! This switch is well made, works smoothly and looks fantastic. The plastic feels much heavier, almost like the original switches. Wish I had bought these for the whole house!
Eh
Comments:
Like others have said the push button wobbles giving it a cheap feeing. These are hard to come by in a dimmer so we were in a bind. The operation of the dimmer is smooth and so is the wiring. Overall wouldn't purchase it again but would still do business with HAH.
I get the naysaying but the switch is fine
Comments:
The comments about the feel of the push-button are valid. This switch doesn't have the solid action of the vintage, push-button switches that I removed from my 1912 house. However, those ""authentic"" vintage switches with the sexy, smooth action will probably start a fire in my walls due to their ancient, non-UL listed contacts, and, to boot, they don't have a dimming function. These switches are UL listed and they work fine. I've had them in regular use in my home for about eight years now and for the first time, I'm replacing one that failed because it was operating a chandelier when two transformers blew up on the pole across the street from me, knocking out power to my neighborhood. But with the exception of unusual electrical surge activity, the switches and dimmers have performed without incident in my house for eight-ish years. So, I get it; I too was apprehensive at first because the button feels cheap and it would be great if they had the solid feel of the originals, but it's fine. I can't comment on the person who had two switches in a row fail on them, but my personal experience with these is that they work and that they look better than modern toggle switches if you're restoring an old house.
I wouldn't buy these again
Comments:
I really like HOAH a lot and buy a lot from them and usually v. happy, but these are a dud. They don't work with almost 50% of newer LED lights. I started a job with them and now have had to change many of switches back from dimmers to regular push button, which is annoying ...and in some places have had to buy a different brand to supplement so switches now not the same throughout the property which undermines the point of getting these for a period restoration. I think you guys should be more upfront that these are a problem for many newer lights and list exactly which ones they don't work well with, and advise folks to test one or two before ordering. When I rang I was told you knew there were issues, so it is causing folks unnecessary grievance at this point. thanks, James
I've bought 4 of this product and will buy more

We put these in every room on our first floor and love them! They're so easy to push and are satisfying to click.
love them

We purchased an 1850 home and wanted it to look period correct. We did a lot of renovations and had these installed. That was 6 years ago and absolutely no problems. Get so many comments.
Not as good as those I had purchased about ten years ago
Comments:
I had bought several of these about ten years ago. They still work great. They have a solid feel when using the on-off button. The feel of pressing the on-off button isn't as good with these new ones. The dimmer button works and feels good. But overall, I was disappointed.
Wobbles and feels flimsy
Comments:
I was considering installing these throughout my apartment so I purchased one so I could take a look at it and see how it felt. Overall, it looked pretty good, but the push button switch felt very wobbly. It felt as if the ""cap"" of the pushbutton switch was loosely attached and it felt like it might fall off after a few weeks of use. While the dimmer was fine, every time I pushed the switch and it wobbled, it just didn't feel good and gave it an overall feeling of cheapness. At first I thought that maybe I got a bad switch, but I also ordered a Premium 3-Way Push Button Universal Dimmer Switch and it had the exact same wobble to it.
