Door set dimensions: crystal glass knobs measure 2" in diameter. Rosettes measure 2 1/2" diameter.
Latch dimensions: Latch case: 7/8" diameter. Latch face plate: 2 1/4" H x 1" W.
Standard door range: 1 3/8" to 1 3/4" thick.

We own a home that was built in 1948 and purchased these knobs for new closet doors in the upstairs bedrooms. We wanted to match the original knobs on the other doors. These glass knobs are very solid and look wonderful. They compliment the other original doors and hardware beautifully.

Bought a 1937 house in 2009 and have slowly been adding bits and pieces to it, anything I can, to up its charm. I grew up in a house built in 1854 that had porcelain doorknobs and wanted to reproduce that, but since my new house was built in 1937 I thought glass would be better - and it was! Both bedroom doors and the bathroom now exude a 1930's charm. I ordered the privacy doorknobs, which were at first difficult to install (but that was because I didn't know what I was doing). The only complaint I had was that the instructions could have been more detailed. Other than that, these are one of my proudest improvements on the house. :)
