Worked well on island cabinets for a large kitchen

I planned to attend an annual event called The Gatsby which is a afternoon picnic on the lawns of a local multi acre estate. I had attended one event in the past. If you own a automobile manufactured between 1920 and 1942 you are encouraged to bring it and drive it out on the lawns as additional eye candy. All participants have to dress in period clothing as well as all items visable in your assigned picnic area. The one item that I thought lacking in the past was music as nothing sets the mood like authentic music of the period. Because of the authentic period requirement my modern battery operated boom box would not be allowed. So I designed an oak cabinet to conceal the boom box that would give the appearance of an antique portable radio. The solid brass hinges were iceing on the cake and drew as much attention as the music itself. I had transcribed period music from vinyl to cd format. When I received the hinges the unexpected beauty and exquisit detail cause me to make the project even more authentic than originally planned.
